EDUCATION THROUGH DIGITALIZATION IN RURAL AREAS

Education plays a prominent role in every individual life. Things look different to a person who is educated than to a person who is uneducated. Society evolved through the roots of education that is why we worship god for giving us good knowledge; which means you are praying god and asking for more knowledge through the means of education. Rural areas lack with educated people, this is because they we no proper facilities, no proper ground rules that could be followed, no proper staff to teach to the children, and the saddest part is parents don’t have enough money to educate the child. This turns into a different story again; which means instead of education that needs to be filled within the minds of young minds, parents tune their minds towards work. In other words they are asked to work with them till dawn and earn some money to feed their stomach for a day. That is why we find small kids working in small hotels, construction sites etc. This is because lack of proper encouragement, lack of guidance, lack of money and lack of support from their parents turned them into child labour working under the dreadful sun from dusk to dawn to earn 100 bucks, which is nowhere sufficient for the whole day for a common man to survive. 

         India should change and become the fastest growing digital economy. Everyone wants India to be on the top and the fastest growing country. This happens only when people gets educated and learn variegated skills that differentiate them from rest of the world. NGO’s should also take an initiative step in up building the rural areas. 60% of the Indian population are living in rural areas and below poverty line. And they have no proper resources to start or build themselves. No proper technology to use and no proper signals for internet usage. So, the government of India should take an initiative to connect proper lines of connectivity in terms of networking, this makes easy for the people around

there to learn things ad get educated through browsing internet. These days education has changed the way of learning. Everything you can access through one click button, i.e. Google. They can find numerous data that can be accessed and learnt, gain knowledge and train themselves through watching videos on YouTube. Every house should have atleast one smartphone, these days the cost of smartphones are on a decline, government should provide some subsidy on these smartphones to people in rural areas; especially for children. Atleast monthly once, people, NGO’s and some government officials, students from these urban areas can go to these rural areas and conduct monthly workshops in empowering and training these digital mode of learning. This makes the economy growing towards digitalisation and people will get to know every miniscule aspect that is going

around the world.

 The other essential thing one needs to take into consideration is; smart classes in rural areas. A certain percentage of funds should be allocated towards building of smart classes in rural areas and should assist with a person who has immense knowledge in various fields which is taught in schools. Graduates can be hired for teaching to students in these rural areas, because it is less cost effective and this also creates a friendly ambience and connection with the children as well.

           Finally, I would like to conclude saying that; in order to see a new society around you, it’s we who need to take an initiative to come forward and take a step forward and make people understand why education is very essential to everyone and also create an exposure and explore the world that education has also become cheaper and made learning easy through digitalization, called the digital mode of learning – E – learning. Just with a click of a button you can access to videos and lectures of any subject you want. Make learning simple through digitalization.
